Automatic cold frame vent - C3336

USES NO ELECTRICITY! Opens and closes by a temperature-sensitive spring mechanism. Range 40ºF to 70ºF. Install one front vent for intake and one high in the back for a warm air exit.

Size: 10" x 18" x 3.5"  Easily installs in an 8" x 16" opening.

Constructed of high density thermo plastic construction, with stainless steel and corrosion resistant metal parts with a heavy duty aluminum mesh screen both front and back.

Installation:
Fits standard 8” x 16” openings. If the opening in your foundation is wider than 16 ¼” you may have to substitute a longer ¼” diameter screw for installation, or use a side shim.
1. Knock out old vent with a hammer and remove all mortar if necessary. 
2. Thread screw through until it just protrudes through frame. 
3. Place side of vent with spring into opening first (On some openings it may be necessary to push vent to the left to compress spring, thus allowing other side of vent to go into the opening) Push the other side into place, making sure the vent flanges are firmly against wall. 
4. Thread screw through until it touches side wall, then tighten three (3) complete turns.
